The Tucson Historic Fencing Club practices Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), teaching material from a variety of historic treatises.
The Tucson Historic Fencing Club got its start in 2015, working primarily with the German tradition of longsword. We have since expanded our curriculum to include a variety of medieval and Renaissance weapons, such as rapier, sword and buckler, messer, sickles, dagger and more. We endeavor to maintain a club culture of open debate and friendly competition, and try to make each practice both fun and engaging for members of all skill levels. We are always happy to include new members, and have a number of skilled instructors to pass knowledge on for those interested in learning more.
